Named “Artist to Watch in 2023” by The Blessed Madonna (BBC Radio 6), Baby Weight has returned to HE.SHE.THEY to release her first record of the year - It’s Giving EP.

Baby Weight, the multi-talented DJ, producer and label boss from Washington, D.C. has gained notoriety for her genre-bending, dynamic DJ sets and advocacy for more inclusivity within dance music. Her consistent releases of chart-topping hits over the past few years have earned her the respect and support of peers like Claptone, The Blessed Madonna, Walker & Royce, Shiba San and Idris Elba among others.

Slay 4 Me is a club focused track that draws inspiration from Ballroom, Jersey and Baltimore. Jesse Fields, LA-based artist and choreographer, provides the magnetic vocal. Baby Weight describes the B-side, Persist, as “aggressive, no nonsense and me ruminating on the mic about how tired I am of all the bigotry and shitty comments some people make towards me and other queer people in dance music spaces. Both of these tracks are essentially a call-to-arms.”
